How to play Hogwarts Legacy on cloud gaming
You can play Hogwarts Legacy on cloud gaming in three ways: with a subscription that includes the game, by streaming your own game copy (BYOG), or by installing it on a full cloud PC. Below, we explain each method so you can choose the one that works for you.
Play without owning the game
To play Hogwarts Legacy on cloud gaming without buying it, you can use a catalog-based service where the game is included in the subscription plan:
- Amazon Luna in the Luna Standard (Prime) and Luna Premium plan
- Xbox Cloud in the Premium and Ultimate plan
- Playstation Cloud in the Plus Premium plan
After subscribing, you can open the service's catalog in the dedicated app or in your browser (if supported). From there, you can start the stream and play Hogwarts Legacy without installing or downloading it. The plan will also give you access to other games in the service's catalog.
Bring your own game (BYOG)
If you want to play Hogwarts Legacy on cloud gaming with your own copy, you can use a catalog-based service that supports it as a BYOG title on its subscription plans:
- Boosteroid: works with any plan
- GeForce Now: requires the Performance or Ultimate plan (Install-To-Play)
- Xbox Cloud: works with any plan (Stream your own game)
To use your own copy of the game, you need to link the store account where you own it to the cloud gaming service. Supported store versions can vary by service:

Once your store account is linked, you can open the service's catalog, select Hogwarts Legacy, and start streaming in your browser or a supported app. Depending on the service, a brief cloud setup may be required before the first launch. The plan can also be used to stream other games you own that are available in the service's catalog.
On GeForce Now, Hogwarts Legacy is an "Install-2-Play" title, so it must be installed on the GFN server before you can stream it. This happens automatically on launch and doesn't take more than a couple of minutes.
Hogwarts Legacy is a "Stream your own game" title on Xbox Cloud Gaming, which means you need to own or buy the Xbox Store version to play it.
